My husband was looking for an unscented, natural pomade for years! He found one a (from a different company)a few years ago,liked it and ordered again..but the product wasn't the same,it had a very strong fragrance that wasn't in before. So, I searched for him online and found Battle born Grooming Co.! Not only is the pomade unscented, natural ingredients and from a small business! The only thing we can smell is the light hint of beeswax! My husband and son use this pomade everyday in their stick straight hair and they say it holds well easily washed out in the shower and doesn't feel heavy or crunchy. The costumer service is also impressive. I got the 2 for 1 deal and the product I chose for free didn't come unscented so the owner said he could make a batch unscented for me! How's that for service?!!- It's a gift,so I haven't used it but I did smell it and... couldn't smell a thing! Great! Awesome company and great product!
I purchased the first jar and ended up giving it to my son. The second jar is in my possession and I really enjoy the scent (none) and the hold (great). I had a couple questions and the support team answered quickly.
I don't have much experience with putting effort into my hair. It's a recent thing. I got this product for my new side part haircut after trying a few other pomades, like Imperial. The two reasons why I bought it: a low shine pomade was exactly what I was looking for... and the brand looks awesome! Seriously, the name and graphic design were most of the appeal for me.
Size: Speaking of the jar, I was shocked at how small it was when I received it — guess I didn't think about how big 4 oz was. I was worried at first that it would only last me a few weeks or a month, but after about two weeks of daily use, I've barely scratched the surface. So that's encouraging! Use about a dime-size. Trust me, it works fine in small amounts and taking big chunks out will just waste it.
Smell: There *is* a smell when you open the jar. It smells like Beeswax, primarily. But it's very faint and goes away as soon as you start applying it. It's a very natural smell, since there's no "Fragrance" with hidden ingredients. You know exactly what's in the jar!
Hold: As a Medium Hold pomade, you can mess up your hair a bit, both on purpose and on accident. But it's really easy to put back together with a comb or other utensil, sometimes even after you get bedhead. Very impressive! You can use a larger amount for a stronger/stiffer hold, but be careful you don't use wasteful amounts.

Styles nicely and not to much shine afterwards. It's just right. Washes out with no problem. I highly recommend this pomade to anyone looking for a high quality natural pomade! Love it!
