Easy to apply, medium to firm hold, long lasting, pleasant scent that is not overbearing. A good purchase.
I switched from Moco de Gorila gel after many years because I wanted a water based product and more natural looking hair. In a period of a few weeks I tested and tried O'douds matte paste, Suavecito Firme, Teddy Boy Original, and finally landed on Battle Born water based pomade. It is my new top choice. I have short hair and no strange cut. Just don't want my hair to move much, and don't want flyaways. I like the company's generosity in giving a portion of each sale to fight cancer. Great job Michael and Melissa.
Great pomade, my hair looks great with this pomade. The scent is clean smell with some spicy and herbal undertones that lasts from morning til night but does overpower. Hold is surprisingly good considering the consistency is that of whipped cream or shaving foam when scooping it out and the natural shine that you get from it is perfect. The handwritten letter is a very nice touch. The pomade (all aspects of it) puts up with the desert heat quite well considering I live in the middle-east.
I highly recommend this product and I will buy it again.
Presentation: Every aspect of the presentation of this pomade is top notch. The pomade comes in an amber jar with a black lid and the label matches impeccably. The colour pallet, font choice, and logo fit perfectly to coincide with the feel of the brand.
Scent: The scent is a floral to cologne type scent with hints of a basic lotion. Lasts all day but is not obtrusive.
Consistency/Application: This pomade absolutely shines in this category. Scoops out like whipped cream, breaks down with absolutely not effort, and application has zero tugging or pulling.
Performance: The category that matters and this pomade doesn’t let us down at all. as stated, the application goes in smooth and remains light within the hair, absolutely weightless. Adding to the lightness of the product, the control is respectable. I’m able to style quickly and effortlessly and I attribute this to the weight and hold of the pomade. Moving to the hold, this is definitely a firm but leans towards the lesser side of the spectrum. To top this all off I find it leaves a very natural shine, just a touch above your neutral hair shine. With smaller scoops I was able to get a more matte shine as well and even a touch of texture. Zero hardening and easily restyled throughout the day proving the moderate endurance of the pomade.
Washout: No problems at all, especially with shampoo
Final Thoughts: This product is relentless in its focus to details and nails every single one. A true natural shine, firm hold, UWB pomade that won’t let you down.
New Different I enjoy the balm and oil very much video review coming soon
